Truckee/North Tahoe Local First 2nd Annual Kick-Off

Learn more about Local First and celebrate with us for our 2nd Annual Kick-Off featuring a sustainability film series. Featured Films include: Tom Linzey’s “Turning Defense to Offense: Challenging Corporations And Creating Self-Governance” and Michael Pollan’s “Beyond The Bar Code: The Local Food Revolution." Panel discussion featuring Kristopher Hansen, Philosophy Instructor for Sierra College, Steve Frisch, President of Sierra Business Council, and Jenny Bossin from Slow Food Lake Tahoe. Local non-profits will feature Green Giving Project for the holidays. Reception and light food and beverage to follow presentations. 5:30-8:30pm at 11001 College Trail, Truckee, CA
