Energy Efficiency Training Program

The Energy Efficiency Training Program (EETP) is an opportunity for trade, construction, and building and operations workers to gain skills that will assist them in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building. Participants will receive training on energy and climate issues, communicating the benefits of green practices to customers, as well as sustainable business practices. Participants will receive a $480 stipend upon completion of the program. The program provides free training and certificates of completion for the following required elements: 40 hours of classroom training, 60 hours of field training, and a professional PG&E energy efficiency course (Schedule is available at www.pge.com/energyclasses. This PG&E course can be taken before or after the classroom training.).

This program is open to entry-level and mid-level workers with preference given to those from Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mariposa counties. The program targets out of work or part time workers who have some experience in the trades, building operations and maintenance, construction, and other technical or hands-on fields. Those who will benefit from the program are persons looking to add GREEN to their career toolbelt or simply enhancing knowledge of green skills.
