Our services support local government staff in revitalizing Sierra communities through sustainable planning and civic engagement.
SBC provides policy and community planning support. Our organization has added value to our existing towns by protecting historic downtowns, developing walkable and interconnected neighborhoods, and protecting the open space and natural assets that provide a high quality of life for all Sierra residents. In the coming years, local governments will be faced with the responsibility of determining and implementing policies related to energy and climate planning. SBC seeks to empower communities to plan for their energy needs while also building partnerships and providing access to funding opportunities in order to develop energy solutions that strengthen the local economy and identify conservation opportunities.
