Restoration

Restoration of forest landscapes after either natural or human-caused disaster can be both assisted and unassisted by people. Here we address basic scientific principles of restoration, human/wildland interface considerations, and methods for assisting nature to restore itself. This category also includes remediation.

Case Studies

Case studies highlight projects using different restoration techniques and goals. Erosion control, invasive species removal, managing for pest and pathogen control, prescribed burning, reforestation, remediation, watershed restoration, and wildlife habitat improvement projects are included here.

Categorized here by a primary function, each business or project may also address other economic, environmental, and community goals in forest communities. As such, you may find them cross-listed in other categories.
