We have a few informative brochures available in PDF format; just ask and we will email them to you. For more information, contact Ken Hale, kenn.hale@gmail.com. Here are a few ways we are working in the community to get the Think Local First word out. We gave a presentation at the APPLE/UUCM Film Series on November 7th, which featured a filmed presentation about the Go Local campaign in Boulder, CO. We will be participating in the Community Congress in Nevada City on December 1st (the start of National Buy Local Week!). December 5th, the APPLE/UUCM Film Series is hosting a Holiday Potluck, at which our steering committee will have a table. We will be joining new members, so plan to come. Friday December 5, 6pm

APPLE and Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains will co-host this potluck and visionary circle to share how you and others are strengthening this community. Please join us as we put our hearts and heads together to create a bold new path to a more sustainable Nevada County. Tell us what you’re doing to become self-reliant and what you want to learn.
The evening will begin with a delicious holiday potluck. Please bring casseroles, finger foods, desserts, beverages (wine and beer okay), and your own plates and utensils. Local foods are encouraged.
