Educational Outreach

Affordable housing in the SierrasSBC has done considerable outreach across the Sierra on effective planning processes. For example, in the fast-growing central Sierra sub-region, the SBC has provided alternative scenarios to sprawling new development. We have participated in symposia in Pine Grove (Amador County) and Sonora (Tuolumne County) to address issues such as big box development, highways as mains streets, retail district revitalization, and affordable housing.
