View of South Lake Tahoe from Heavenly MountainThe City of South Lake Tahoe invited the SBC to facilitate a workshop of 40 people to redesign the water flow in a neighborhood built in a 500-acre subwatershed to Lake Tahoe. The end results were some very innovative approaches to curb the severe erosion problems affecting Tahoe’s waters. Improved road, curb and gutter design ideas will enhance neighborhood walkability, greenspace and real estate values – a win-win for the community, the economy and the environment.
