Personal and Professional Experience
Leah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the University California, Santa Cruz. While in school Leah worked with the Education for Sustainable Living Program, facilitating a course and leading an Action Research Team on transportation solutions for the area.

Currently she is serving with the AmeriCorp Sierra Nevada Alliance Partnership for the Sierra Business Council. She is excited to bring her passion, knowledge and facilitation skills to the Sierra Business Council in Truckee where she is serving for the year of 2008. Leah’s Program Assistant position will help promote stewardship and conservation in the region. She is happy to be a part of an organization that addresses environmental problems holistically by working on the health of the social, financial, natural components of the area. Leah enjoys working in the community to create partnerships and programs that will propel sustained justice and vitality in the Sierra Nevada. In the future she hopes to incorporate art into her work.

Leah is a Nevada County native. Some of her favorite activities are dancing, writing, singing, and enjoying the outdoors.
