Anna Toso

Office Manager and Sierra Leadership Institute Program Director

Anna Toso is an experienced coordinator and team player, supporting the work of the Sierra Business Council by helping to manage the day-to-day operations and event coordination (including the Sierra Leadership Institute).

As a parent, homeowner, educator, and long time resident of the Truckee/Tahoe Area, Anna was inspired to join the Sierra Business Council’s team to help support their efforts to enrich and promote the Social, Economic and Natural balance of this region we call home, for our children and future generations.

Professional Experience
Anna is Sierra Business Council’s Operation Manager, overseeing the day-to-day organizational functions at the Sierra Business Council and is a key player coordinating office and event support. Having worked for a number of non-profit organizations over the last 20 years, Anna brings with her a wealth of experience in managing projects. Over the past three years at Sierra Business Council Anna has coordinated a wide variety of regional events and is the lead coordinator for the Sierra Leadership Institute.

Prior to working at SBC, Anna was the Project Coordinator for the Admissions and Student Records Department at Truckee’s Prosser Creek Charter School, overseeing hundreds of student records and office management. Anna also celebrates over twenty years of experience coordinating and teaching educational programs relating to Coastal Ecology and Sierra Nevada Natural History.

Education
Anna holds a BA degree in Humanities from New College of California, San Francisco, CA, with an emphasis in Natural History and Music Composition. She continued her education by pursuing opportunities to study with a number of composers, as well as taking time to continually enrich her Natural History knowledge.

Personal Highlights
Anna has lived in the Tahoe/Truckee area for 17 years and feels privileged to be raising her two children the tremendous community of Truckee. In her spare time, she enjoys her Natural History hobby by sharing the Tahoe region with visiting school groups through local Environmental Education programs. Anna has also been musically published and hopes to work on other projects in the future.
